Volvo Trucks has presented a comprehensive report for the 2017 for its production and business in Russia

Volvo Trucks Russia managed to occupy a leading position in the segment of foreign manufacturers of heavy commercial vehicles (HCV), which, however, the company limits the "Big seven" of the European brands.

This "premium" segment in 2017 showed impressive growth in 2.72 times the compared to 2016 (27 014 9941 units vs units).

Directly truck brand Volvo was sold 6001 units. 1808 units against a year earlier (the growth in 3.32 times). Market share of Volvo Trucks among the producers of "the Big seven" has reached 22% compared to 17% in 2016 (+5%).

The plant Volvo Group in Kaluga in 2017 4665 produced units of trucks of Volvo brand, which accounted for 78% of the volume of sales. With Oct 2017 year Kaluga plant switched on"production and the beat" in 26 trucks in day for five-day work schedule.

By the end of 2017 the fleet of trucks Volvo, working in Russia in the service "rent from Volvo Trucks", has been increased repeatedly: up to 138 vehicles against 25 units in 2016 (an increase in 6.25 times).

Sales of trucks with mileage of Volvo Group Trucks reported for 616 units sold used trucks and trailers of different brands, from which share directly trucks had 540 units against 503 units a year earlier (+7%).

In addition, in 2017 were concluded 1747 PCs Service contracts Volvo 575 PCs against a year earlier (growth in 3 times). The entire portfolio of Service contracts Volvo to the end of 2017 years was brought to 2376 PCs against 1179 units in 2016 (growth in 2 times).

The network of branded service stations Volvo Group Trucks came in the leading position as the scope, and density (of foreign brands) on Russia. It has 77 HUNDRED, including three private Truck Center in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg. Only in 2017 in Russia re-opened or upgraded 7 branded service stations Volvo.

General Director of Volvo Group Russia Sergei Yavorsky said: "In 2017 we have achieved a good result, to which we confidently went on throughout the year. It was preceded by hard work: almost doubled the team of sales representatives, were allocated to the individual segments: utility, mining, logging, where we presented our solutions for customers and significantly strengthened its position. In addition, we balanced our pricing on a wide range of original spare parts, thereby returning a significant portion of our customers in corporate service Volvo".

He also said that: "In the past year, Volvo Trucks has increased its production volumes in Kaluga, at the same time raising the level of quality of the finished product. According to the official ratings at the end of 2017 years, the plant Volvo Group in Kaluga came to the second place among the 16 plants of the production system of Volvo in the world".
