According RAMR Russian market new light commercial vehicles (LCV) in the first quarter of 2018 has risen over the same period last year by 3.6%. Accordingly, the physical sales of 26.1 thousand. But, for example, according to the "AUTOSTAT info" sales of new LCVs was only 22,55 thousand or of -2.2%. But in March, sales of LCVs fell by 7.5% to 9.8 thousand, after rising 11.6% in January and 9% in February. However, in absolute figures, sales in March were higher in February (8.5 million), and January (7.7 per cent). According to "AUTOSTAT" info – the fall in March was 12.7% to 8.61 thousand market Share of Russian brands in March amounted to 66.3% (of 5.71 million) against 73.9 per cent (of 7.29 million) a year earlier, while the share of foreign cars, respectively, and 33.7% (2.9 thousand) against 26.1 per cent (2,57 million). For the quarter, the share of domestic brands dropped to 67.6% (15.2 thousand) vs 73,7% (17 million) over the same period last year.

The second domestic producer of light commercial vehicles – the UAZ during this period took 20% of the market versus 26% for the same period of 2017. Its sales fell by 21.5%, to 5.1 thousand. units.

 Among the diesel LCV TOP 5 of the popularity of such models as: Gazelle (diesel imported diesel engine Cummins ISF2.8L), Ford Transit (Assembly in Elabuga), Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (assembled in Nizhny Novgorod), and also pickups Mitsubishi L200 and Toyota Hilux. The share of these models had specific large market share of new LCV with a diesel engine – equal to 71%.
