For the first half of Russian trucks increased by 20%

Growth in the market of new trucks with GVW over 6 tons according RAMR slowed to zero despite the fact that in may they amounted to 9.1% compared to the same month last year. However, according to the "AUTOSTAT info" the growth of trucks (with GVW over 5 tons) was and amounted to 2.1%.
For the six months 2018, according RAMR were sold in Russia 37.4 thousand new. Compared to the same period in 2017, the market grew by 20.3%.



In the Top-10 brands (33 thousand and 88,2% of the market against 28.9 thousand and 92.9%) of all the automakers for the half year was recorded as the minimum "zero growth", for example, DAF and Isuzu (respectively, 1.4 and 1.3 thousand). By the way, the brands outside the Top 10 increased from last year doubled – from 2.2 to 4.4 million, which tells about the rise of the market as a whole, not only the leaders at the expense of their local marketing and credit programs. "Big Russian Troika" consisting of the KAMAZ, Gas and "Ural" won over half of 48,9% of the market (according to "AUTOSTAT" info all domestic brands took 52.1% of the market against 58.5 per cent in 2017).



Sales of the leading KAMAZ in January-June 2018 amounted to 12.7 thousand (+6.7 percent), which accounted for 34% or over one third of the Russian market of new trucks.

Medium-duty trucks (MCV) brand GAS accounted for 11.5% of the market, almost unchanged compared over the same period of 2017. Sales of trucks with Gas in January-June 2018 grew by 7.5%, reaching 4.3 million.

According to "AUTOSTAT info" in the line of GAS leads with a huge gap model of "Lawn NEXT" – 2.9 thousand (+21.3 per cent) with a market share of 7.8%.

Ninth in the ranking of AZ "Ural" sold about 1.3 million (+8.3 per cent) four-wheel drive trucks, of which the most popular is the three-axis series Ural-4320 0.6 million (-11,1%) and a market share of 1.5%, however, including the previous generation of "Ural-M", and a new Ural NEXT, however, is occupying a growing place on the conveyor.

The leader among trucks of foreign brands on Russian market is the Swedish company Volvo Trucks. So, sales of trucks of this brand in the first half of 2018 at the expense of the most dynamic in the Top 10 sales growth (+57,1%) amounted to 3.3 million – 3rd place on the market.

It model FH 4x2 is the best among cars with almost 2.0 thousand sold cars (+43,6%), which is more than entire brand Mercedes-Benz (6-th place with 2 thousand and 5%) with its Actros-om (1.8 thousand and -0.1%), which is the 2nd freight car on the market.
