The market for trailers is gradually giving way to the import

According RAMR in may 2018 in the Russian market was implemented 2360 units of trailers, that on 29,3% more than in the same period last year. In the five months since the beginning of the year were sold 148 11 new trailers and semitrailers. Compared to the same period in 2017, the market grew by 39.6%.
Share trailers of foreign brands on Russian market continues to grow, so in January-may 2018 it amounted to 39% vs. 35%, over the same period last year. The rate of growth of sales of trailers, foreign brands also overtake Russia: +56,4% vs +30.6 per cent.
The leader among brands of the market of trailers remains the German mark SCHMITZ, whose sales for the five months of 2018 grew by 9.7%, to 1250 units However in may 2018 sales of trailers of this brand declined significantly (-35,4%) compared to the same period last year, amounting to 188 units and occupying only 3rd place.
A similar situation is observed in domestic producer of trailers NEFAZ. If, in the first five months of 2018, the brand showed sales growth of 7.8% to 908 units in may, its dynamics of implementation became negative compared to may of 2017 – minus 16.6% to 181 units.
In addition, in may among the top 10 brands in the market of trailers, the decline in sales made GRAZ (-14,8% to 46 units). And, here for the first five months of 2018 for all of the top-10 grades is characterized by positive dynamics of sales.
But the third for the first five months mark TONAR with a growth of 2.3% to 872 units, which may, in General, took the lead with a growth of 3.6% to 296 units.
