Swedish startups Einride together with supermarket chain Lidl Sweden intends already to 2035 to transfer 40% of the national commercial fleet to automated control and to 2040, 40% reduction in emissions of CO2 and reduced to a minimum number of car accidents and other accidents.

These ambitious targets the CEO of the company Einride Robert Falk intends to achieve by means an unmanned electric truck T-Pod, which is his words will change the entire transport logistics in Sweden.

An electric truck with a length of seven meters with the full mass in 20 tons can carry up to 15 pallets. Einride is not yet specifies exactly one or several motors will allow the T-Pod in the movement and only that battery with a capacity of 200 kWh is enough to run 200 km.

Frankly, not too outstanding performance on the backdrop of the sensational characteristics of the Semi Tesla. However, lack of sensationalism and T-Pod at which did not have a driver's cab and the fact that the photo looks like the cabin – only the front wall of the cargo compartment, combined with objectitem.

After tests in a supermarket chain Lidl in Sweden Helmstadt, followed by road traffic tests T-Pod on the highway between the cities of Helsingborg and Gothenburg on distacio in 217 km, i.e. without charging the T-Pod from one settlement to the other one is not get a means the track is yet to be equipped with the appropriate recharging infrastructure.

The first tests will begin in the fall of 2018. Since 2020 each year should be based on 200 units of the T-Pod, and 120 units of them are already ordered. The ultimate goal of the project should be the turnover in the track of the volume less than 2 million pallets a year.

Using T-Pod trading network Lidl Sweden intends to further reduce emissions of CO2 of their corporate vehicles, and it has already made on this "green" direction some success, reducing such emissions by quarter 2016/2017 financial year, including through the use of alternative fuels.

Now Einride and Lidl expect from the Swedish authorities a license to test Autonomous and remote control electric truck.
