Shell and Airflow Truck Company has introduced cargo "Starship"

Another conceptual named simple and austere – "Spaceship" (Starship)

In March 2018 the Shell group and the company Airflow Truck Company has introduced a concept of innovative truck Starship ("Starship"), which aims to demonstrate the outstanding aerodynamic qualities and fuel efficiency. Premiere of the concept Starship was held at the exhibition in the American city of Atlanta. Then conceptrol was shown on the stand at the exhibition Shell Make the Future, in SONOMA California.

In may Starship makes a run from California to Florida, speaking on good example of best practice approach to efficient and cost-effective freight transport. Train 8 class capacity loaded the maximum load within the permissible total mass of the vehicle 36 287 kg (80,000 pounds).
During the run will be undertaken between fuel economy and efficiency of freight transportation (in ton-km), then to announce the result publicly. Efficiency of transport in ton-km is the main indicator which is measured on a cargo Starship prototype. Shell and Airflow think this is the most significant expression of the efficiency of cargo transportation. It is defined as the energy required to move the load from point A to point B. the Maximum increase in the load, which carries an experienced vehicle reduce the overall fuel economy, however, will improve the efficiency of freight in ton-kilometers and reduce the specific emission of CO2 per each ton of transported cargo.
