"Scania-Russia" and NP "GLONASS" signed an agreement on cooperation at the International forum "Avtonet 2.0"

Organizers launched from December this year, the project STI "Avtonet" for testing connected and automated, driverless cars on the roads of General use in the execution of orders of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on the implementation of the technology of unmanned vehicles on the highway M-11 "Moscow – Saint-Petersburg" are in addition to "Scania-Rus" NP "GLONASS", the Ministry of industry and trade, the Ministry of transport of Russia, Federal road Agency and the Agency for strategic initiatives.

General Director of Scania in Russia Wojciech Rowinski said: "Scania is not the first year participates in major projects related to the development of Autonomous cargo transport worldwide. In Russia – this is our first experience. Scania technique will be used in the testing of the technologies and infrastructure for the movement of the drone and connected transport. With the participation of "Scania-Rus" in Russia will introduce Autonomous driving technology and active driver assistance.

Our experts will provide the NP "GLONASS" information and Advisory support in developing advanced technological solutions in accordance with the roadmap "Avtonet 2.0" and will take part in discussion of the developed normative-legal acts that promote the proliferation of unmanned and connected freight transport".

Scania A. B. has all the necessary experience in developing segment technology use of Autonomous transport – platooning or "caravan driving". In this area the company leads the development of trains designed to move at the minimum distance from each other, with an automated traffic control, i.e. unmanned.

Such developments are carried out in the framework of the project: Sweden 4 Platooning for the development and implementation of multi-brand platooning on the roads of Sweden (2017-2019 biennium.), Singapore Platooning for the development of fully Autonomous platooning with four trucks of different brands (2017-2019 biennium.), Semi-Autonomous Platooning testing semi-Autonomous platooning on Finnish roads (2018-2020), and several others.

Avtonet 2.0" in Moscow, the representatives of the authorities, leaders and experts of automotive, transport, digital and telematic industries discussed the challenges associated with the formation of the Russian innovative market, and in particular, creating a new road map "Avtonet 2.0" National technology initiative.
Road map "Avtonet 2.0" aims to bring the legal framework and technical regulation to the level that stimulate the development of transport and logistics services, the introduction of Autonomous cars, vehicle telematics, smart digital services. Naturally, the Scania as one of the leaders in the production of such solutions on the market of trucks is ready to actively promote the technical progress in Russia at the system level.
