According RAMR in 2018 the sales of new trucks in Russia amounted to thousand of 81.28, the Market still grew by 2.6% compared with the 2017, but only due to the good performance of the first half of 2018, compared to the same months of the previous year. Starting from July 2018, the market for new trucks monthly lagged behind sufficiently high base of the previous year.

So, in December the drop was -11,7%. Interestingly, while physical sales of trucks went up the whole fourth quarter.

against this background, the leader in the cargo segment, the brand KAMAZ continues to lose market share, heavy trucks (HCV).

So, at the end of 2018, the implementation of brand cars KAMAZ was 26.85 million, which is 4.4% less than in 2017.
The sale of the brands Mercedes-Benz, Ural and DAF also went negative, respectively, by 13.4%, 1% and 21.6%.

But very good feeling the Scania brand, developing the sales for HCV by 17.5% to 6.7 million (3-e a place in the market), as well as occupying a leading position in the segment of srednetonnazhnye domestic GAS +3.9% to 9.1 thousand (2nd place in the market). It is characteristic that outside the Top 10 sales of other brands of trucks grew much above the market – by 33.2%, due to the relatively good price offers from the joint venture for the Assembly of Korean (Hyundai) and Japanese (Isuzu and Mitsubishi Fuso) medium-duty trucks. Competition from Chinese manufacturers grows not too intensively (a couple of years ago, the efforts of KAMAZ was repulsed an attempt dumping the conquest of the Russian market of HCV through the territory of the CU countries), although in the category of vehicles with full weight from 3,5 to 12 t number of firms (Foton, DFMC, FAW) and are making a serious effort to gain a foothold in our market.
