Russian bus market in August went downhill

For 8 months from the beginning of the year the sales of buses rose by 9.6%

According RAMR in August of 2018 the sales of new buses in Russia fell by 18.2 per cent to 0.9 thousand Respectively for the first eight months of 2018 in Russia had sold 8.0 thousand new buses that still 9.6% more compared to the same period of the previous year.

The share of domestic brands in January-August accounted for 6.7 thousand (+4.7 per cent) or 84%, and on foreign cars is 1.3 million (+44,5%), or 16%, against 12.3% for the same period last year.

A leading role in the domestic market of new buses saves Pavlovsky bus plant with a market share of 55% in the first eight months of 2018. Sales of buses the GROOVE in the reporting period reached 4.4 million (+2,3%).

In second place – the Model with 1.2 thousand (+9.1%), the

and the third – NefAZ 0.5 million (+66.7 percent).

 Chinese brands continue to win the Russian market of new buses.

So, in January-August of 2018, the highest relative growth showed brands and Zhong Tong Golden Dragon with an increase of 2.25 times at 0.09 per thousand, which allowed them to displace the other Chinese bus manufacturer King Long from the Top 10. The best foreign, and at the same time Chinese brand was Yutong, with a 2-fold increase up to 0.4 thousand
