The first three of the long-awaited tractor Scania new generation 3 August 2017 solemnly handed over to Russian clients. Moreover, the representatives of Scania has noted that the driver it is important to monitor and maintain proper tire pressure, otherwise the fuel savings can be spoiled.

Machines of this generation, above all, striking a bold design with sophisticated aerodynamics. Standard features include: easily adjustable top spoiler, aerodynamic side "skirts" modular designs that improve aerodynamics and reduce fuel consumption, the folding step in front, allowing drivers to get up and clean your windshield, led fog lights – improved visibility and safety, additional lights-spotlights on the roof or in the upper part of the grille: improving visibility when driving in low light conditions, increase the security level, as established at the top of the headlights let you see further. Today there are three type of cabins: basic CG CR type of superior and type CS with a flat floor (the flagship of the range). We are talking about additional functionality fleet management, service messaging and objectives to the driver in real time: a two-way communication with the office of the company, all of the messages and routes are displayed on the touch screen in the truck. In the end decrease runs idle and increases productivity. For the new generation will have access to various comprehensive proposals, which include financing, service, monitoring system of vehicle fleet, training of drivers. All three partners gave Scania tractor units 4x2 500's in different colors and engines of the ecological standard Euro-6. All  the cars were purchased under the program "Scania Drive", which involves the purchase of equipment through leasing and include maintenance (service contracts), driver education monitoring system FMS fleet and insurance in one package.

A distinctive feature of this model is that the truck is on full air suspension (new air suspension on the front axle). The left fuel tank for 1000 liters, right – to 500 liters. We are in anticipation of the new model on the Russian roads and warmly welcome the first flight."

Large-scale deliveries of the new Scania in Russian market will begin next year.

Driving sensation

Managed to drive around the service station on all three tractors. To begin with, I note that the difference between the top (S 500 A4x2NB – "fantastic blue") and the other two (white and yellow) in the more simple models is practically invisible. Except that it seemed that the box on the top version works quite silently and smoothly. On other machines the transitions from transmission to transmission is still marked "pant" servos and a mild but noticeable shock. Thanks to the excellent mirrors to maneuver the snake is absolutely not difficult, and the angle of the front wheels is so great that allows you to turn almost on the spot. 

So that is to steer a pleasure (managed to go round all the exposed cones on the track of a snake). Large range of adjustments of the driver's seat in longitudinal and vertical directions, and the steering column for tilt and reach make it easy to select the optimal position for the driver of any complexion and weight. The brake and the gas pedal is very informative. 

The cockpit is different, in addition to spaciousness, an enviable (for competition) quality materials and the most advanced ergonomics. One can only envy those drivers-truckers who drop out to work on this, without exaggeration, the most advanced of today "the truck of the 21st century".
