Production MAN in Krakow wins again in the competition "factory of the year"

Award for "Excellent production,"

For the first time since 2016, the company MAN once again won in the prestigious competition "factory of the year". The plant in Apologize near Krakow, which from 2017 assembles heavy truck series TGS and TGX, secured first place in the category "serial production Facilities".
The jury, consisting of experts specialized magazine Produktion (Production), as well as consulting company AT Kearney, highlighted the high efficiency of the processes in the basis of culture of continuous improvement (Kaizen). Almost perfect synchronized conveyor Assembly provides a high degree of efficiency, despite the wide set of vehicle options and variety are performed at each stage of the work. According to the jury, state of the art production facility offers employees enough flexibility to ensure the Assembly increased the number of trucks at the highest level quality.

Success in the competition "Factory of the year" boasts a member of the Board Michael Kobriger responsible for production and logistics at the company MAN Truck & Bus SE: "We are pleased that after Munich, our achievements were highly appreciated and in Krakow. Due to the modular chassis we have taken an important step towards integration of different drive technologies within the same Assembly lines. The resulting knowledge we will be able to use our other platforms to further improve efficiency."
