Sales of new trucks increased in the first quarter on a 32%

According RAMR in the first quarter of 2018 in Russia sales of new trucks with GVW over 6 tons составили17,6 thousand It is by 32.1% more in comparison with the same period of 2017.



Accordingly in March 2018 implementation of lorries amounted to 6.8 million, nearly a quarter (+24%) more than in the same period last year. Still, the growth rate in March slowed markedly compared with February, when it was +40%.

Sales of trucks leading brand of KAMAZ amounted to 6 million (+13,2%). Brand KAMAZ occupies a third of the Russian market of new trucks. In the first quarter of 2017, its market share was 40%.



Freight cars of GAZ brand has taken 11% of the market, which is also less than last year at 13%. Truck sales GAS in January-March 2018 rose by 17.6% – to 2 thousand





The leader among the freight cars in the Russian market remain the Swedish Volvo. Sales of trucks of this brand in the first quarter increased by 75% and reached 1.4 thousand


At the same time top 10 brands on the market the greatest sales growth showed a German MAN. Sales of new trucks from MAN in comparison with the first quarter of 2017, increased by 83%.
