London company of electric vehicles (LEVC), a known release of a new generation "of London taxicab" TX (formerly known as the TX5), officially presented on 17 June their first hybrid delivery van LCV. Orders will be taken from the end of 2019. Deliveries to customers are scheduled to begin in late 2020.

The mayor of London Garden Han and CEO of the company LEVC Joerg Hofmann will present hybrid delivery van

As taxi TX, LCV van fitted with hybrid drive in which a combination of battery with the internal combustion engine is used to provide a competitive reserve. It is expected that a purely battery mileage (the battery capacity of 31 kW•h) the van will reach almost 130 kilometers. Useful volume of the body of the van 5 m3, and has a capacity of 800 kg, which allows you to carry two europalety.

With the appearance of a new iconic British taxi TX hybrid delivery van (the last is still different a long wheelbase and a different rear body with wing doors) combines not only the power plant but also the design of the front end. Mileage 130 km on electric must allow logistics companies to move in "areas with low emissions" in large cities, and thanks to a three-cylinder 1.5-litre 150-strong petrol turbo engine Volvo (only runs to recharge the battery, ie, without mechanical connection to the wheels) will be no problem to call the bin centres outside the cities. LEVC manufacturer claims that the total range (battery+ice) of the van exceeds 377 miles (607 kilometers). Thus, the van LEVC will not only "deliver the last mile", but also be able to take the traffic flow from the regional logistics centers.

LEVC General Director Joerg Hofmann says: "Urban transport of the future is changing rapidly, and we have a great opportunity to bring something new and revolutionary on the market. There is a huge demand for lightweight mid-size vans (in our country usually called the "heels" – ed.) with zero emissions, so the proposed solution will be most optimal to meet the needs of the rapidly growing market of "green" logistics."
However, the launch date of the project by the firm LEVC somewhat behind schedule. Original hybrid van was to be launched in 2019, but now the start of sales is postponed to the end of 2020.

However, LEVC does not want to reveal technical details of the van. Since the firm LEVC, like Volvo Cars, owned by Chinese group Geely Group, technology hybrid powertrain with internal combustion engines to increase the power reserve is almost certain to be borrowed for the Swedish Volvo XC40. By the way, taxis LEVC TX implemented, for example, in Germany through Volvo dealers.

The instrument panel is from TX, most likely, will pass on the van LCV no change

After the launch of a series hybrid delivery van, the British manufacturer plans to continue to produce a full range of electrified commercial vehicles. Today, according to LEVC in operation for almost 2 thousand hybrid taxi TX, of course, most of them in London..
