The premiere of a prototype of KAMAZ-54901 cab K5as you know, took place a couple of years ago at the exhibition "Komtrans-2017". When experts and the General public showed the car and announced its technical characteristics. And now it is the turn of pre-production samples, which put at the disposal of potential clients, transport workers and journalists.

For the driver and his partner has created all conditions for effective work. Large spacious cabin for four-point suspension frame which is made at a separate plant in Naberezhnye Chelny, has a flat floor and an internal height of about two meters. Next year the order will begin to install the ADAS system, which includes adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, assistant emergency braking, the system of recognition of signs and traffic signals, warning about leaving the traffic lane.

The height and aggregate base. The movement of the tractor results in a new inline six-cylinder turbodiesel KAMAZ-910.12-450 (Euro-5) with a capacity of 450 HP, which was the joint brainchild of the Kama automobile plant, and Liebherr. The motor is equipped with a reinforced cylinder block of grey cast iron, steel piston, oil filter with high dirt-holding capacity, oil pump with increased performance, the Common Rail system providing injection pressure of the fuel of 1800 bar, optimised motor management programme. Resource of the power plant reaches 1.5 million kilometers. Great range provide fuel tanks with a volume of 1200-1400 L.
The engine is paired with a 12-speed automated transmission ZF Traxon, which has a wide range of additional functions such as maneuvering (movement with reduced transmission at low speeds), help in starting off on the rise (HSA Hill Start Assist), coast (Eco-Roll), the function of swinging, crawling regime (Creeping mode). To this must be added the modes boxes ECO and POWER.
On long-haul tractor KAMAZ-54901 installed single stage axle DAIMLER HL6, equipped with a hypoid main gear with reduced gear ratio gear ratio (2,278). Front axle with maintenance-free hubs designed for a load of 9 tons. The frame is made of lightweight high-strength steels that have reduced the kerb weight of the towing vehicle.
The car became the owner of modern active safety systems, which include: ABS, EBS (electronic braking system), ASR (protivoprotosana system), ESP (stability control system).
