The first four months of 2018 showed 10% growth of truck production in Russia (according RAMR) in relation to the same period last year. In total were issued 19.8 thousand trucks.
Production of trucks in the country is quite concentrated, so 97% of the produced trucks released only five manufacturers.
Naturally heads the list of KAMAZ, whose share in the structure of production was 54%,
followed by the Nizhny Novgorod GAS with 15%,
Kaluga plant "Volvo the East" with 10%
Naberezhnye Chelny JV "Daimler KAMAZ Rus"
& AZ "Ural" with shares at 9%.
Another issue is that even within the TOP 5 growth rate of production varied considerably:
thus, the growth of production of trucks "Volvo Vostok" was more than 2-fold, and "Daimler KAMAZ Rus" (Mercedes-Benz) increased by 83%. Against this background, the production of Russian truck brands does not possess the same growth rates, so at KAMAZ increased by only 10%, while GAZ Group, respectively, AS GAZ and Ural have experienced a decline of 4% and 5%.
