For 2017 in the Russian market of new trucks sales have increased 1.5 times

Characteristic of 2017 year and especially the second half on the truck market for data RAMR was quite intensive monthly growth of sales in against the same period in 2016. So, August 2017 year the monthly growth of sales exceeded 50%, i.e. there were signs of a boom. In General for the year sales grew by 52,7% – to 79,1 thousand


In December, the actual monthly sales for the first time in many years exceeded 10 thousand, with the fact that the growth rate in the last month decreased to 51%, and the maximum increase was observed in may (+70.7 percent).


Rapid growth of freight market in 2017 impact on its fine structure, in which there have been noticeable changes.

So, if in the year before, the Top 5 brands accounted for KAMAZ, GAZ, MAZ, Scania and Ural, at end 2017 year the segment of heavy trucks (HCV) as usual was the leader of KAMAZ (+26,1%
to 28 thousand).

In the segment of medium-duty (MCV) in the same undisputed leader was the AZ GAS (+2.4 percent.
to 8.7 million).

Ranking the Top 5 has added three brand of "Big seven" – Volvo (growth in 3.5 times up to 1.7 million), Scania (growth in 2,3 times up to 5.7 thousand) and Mercedes-Benz (growth in 2.8 times up to 5,6 thousand).

Over one third of the market and 35.4% holds KAMAZ, 11% GAS and 3.7% Urals. The best of the saturated with foreign cars brands Volvo (build in Kaluga) is only 7.5% of the market and close to him running Scania (build under Saint-Petersburg) took 7.2% of the market that is collected in Naberezhnye Chelny Mercedes-Benz – 7%, and also which is the Assembly plant under Peter MAN – 6%. On the share of MAZ had only 4.9% of the Russian market
