Despite the new law on the road traffic, Germany is lagging behind the other countries of the world in the introduction of unmanned vehicles. this is evidenced by fresh study of the Berlin auditing firm KPMG "Index of readiness for the introduction of Autonomous vehicles", which compares 20 countries with respect to their readiness and openness to the introduction of unmanned movements. the Federal Republic in it takes only the sixth place.
According to the KPMG analysis, the best conditions for Autonomous driving are there in the Netherlands, Singapore and USA.

States were compared on the basis of the requirements in four areas: politics / law, technology / innovation, infrastructure and the enthusiasm of consumers. Germany has achieved high ratings in the section "Technology / innovation" through government-funded research projects and start-UPS for drones. In the category "Politics / legislation" a new Law on road traffic, at least, provides a sufficient connection with countries of the leading group. However, in terms of infrastructure and enthusiasm of consumers, Germany ranks only 12th place. The reason is, in particular, no, among other things, the national high-performance mobile network and also non-admission of Autonomous driving on public roads.
