GAZ group expands Assembly capacity in the CIS – on the order of Azerbaijan

GAZ group expands its presence in the CIS, on the order of establishment of Assembly facilities AZ GAS in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Recently signed a Memorandum on establishment of Assembly production with local company "Athermal". According to the agreement by the end of 2019 in the city Hadjikabul (about 110 km from Baku) will be organized Assembly facilities to produce up to 1000 units of commercial vehicles of GAZ brand. In the line of models Azerbaijani assemblies will include both a series of LCV "GAZelle" – the "BUSINESS" and NEXT, as well as MCV "Lawn NEXT".



The truth of the obsolete srednetonnazhnye GAZ-3309 the Azerbaijani side refused. The Russian side in the person of AZ GAS will take delivery to Azerbaijan for Assembly kits, all production and licensing documentation, personnel training and certification training of specialists "Ezermala". The plans include further development of the Assembly facility with the ability to manufacture specialized and special equipment (e.g. sanitary and utility vehicles and school minibuses). For equipment of special vehicles will also be applied to local components.
