Volkswagen NFZ launches "anticortisol" version of the Transporter Kasten AllCity
The division of Volkswagen Commercial vehicles (NFZ) has announced the launch of a new version Transporter Kasten AllCity with maximum total weight of 2.49 t under the requirements of the capital "cargo frame".
It is this that's the maximum weight for the last year was decisive for the operation of LCVs in the capital, increasingly covered by the so-called "cargo frame". Recall that it is that some districts of the capital identified the Central highway, according to which can move trucks with allowed maximum mass exceeding 2.5 tonnes, including vans category (formally, the "passenger"), and, of course, streets at which the transit movement of such vehicles is prohibited. For residents of specific streets, and also car service points and objects which otherwise cannot be reached and made an exception (but only if appropriate registration or directions) – all other carriers at a new violation of the ban entails a fine in the amount of 5000 rubles.
Although the moment, innovation is still declared "experimental", obviously everything goes to the fact that the operation of the notorious "cargo frame" will announce successful and such will be introduced finally only the capital and in many other cities. The formal goal of introducing a "cargo frame" – care about environmental improvements in residential areas and reducing noise pollution. The problem does exist and one (but only one of several variants) is the restriction of entry to the residential quarters for large trucks.
However, the automakers (especially with Russian Assembly production) responded to the emerging new "ecological" niche quite adequately and promptly. So, Volkswagen introduced a new version of its popular AllCity family Transporter T6 , in fact, already initially complying with the strictest environmental and acoustic requirements. This version is certified for maximum weight up to 2.5 t will be able to move around districts of Moscow without any restrictions of movement, introduced "cargo frame".
Naturally, AllCity not only equipment, and a whole family of LCVs, in which, according to the analogy with the usual Transporterами, customers will be able to choose the dimensions and the equipment of the vehicle according to the tasks of their business. Range of AllCity are as rough terrain and long-wheelbase versions with three options for the height of the roof. The engine range includes a diesel and a petrol engine from 102 to 150 HP p., aggregated with mechanical and automatic transmissions. In fact, the only functional loss was four-wheel drive, from which had to be abandoned in view of the need to reduce total vehicle weight, i.e. the entire series is offered exclusively with AllCity drive front wheel.
Other structural differences Volkswagen Transporter Kasten AllCity virtually no. Force structure of the body, and also the components of the drivetrain and suspension have the same margin of safety, and standard Transporter T6, inherited the famous reliability of their predecessors.
