The exhibition officially opened the 3rd September, at 11 o'clock awards ceremony competition "Best commercial car of year in Russia", which will be held in hall 14 at the open area COMTRANS Arena for all visitors and exhibitors.
During its years of existence (since 2001) competition "Best commercial car of year in Russia" has acquired the status as the most authoritative in Russia. The aim of this competition is to identify winners on the basis of such characteristics as efficiency when used for commercial shipping, technical excellence of the car, the economic benefit in its acquisition and operation, security service. The competition jury consists of the reputable journalists writing about commercial vehicles, including the chief editor of the portal "the Third Rome" A. Klimova. For the right to become the winner of competition "Best commercial car of year in Russia" will fight leading international and domestic manufacturers of trucks, buses and LCVs.

In hall 14 for the first time in the history of the exhibition there will be a COMTRANS Arena that will be hosting the ambitious four-day program prepared by the organizers, in cooperation with the Association of European Businesses (AEB), the Transport Association of the Moscow Metropolitan area TAMA, the International Union of the road transport sector the IRU and other partners. Four days COMTRANS Arena will become a platform for panel discussions, speakers and moderators who will be leading experts of the automotive industry and the transport industry, heads of companies, representatives of the Ministry of industry and trade and Ministry of transport of Russia, Moscow Government and other state organizations and professional associations
