The bus fleet in Russia at the beginning of 2018 reaches 428 thousand

According RAMR bus Park in Russia on the beginning of 2018 reaches 428 thousand and 32% of their lifetime is already over 25

Marketing Agency Russian Automotive Market Research (RAMR) announced that as 01.01.2018 Park buses in Russia has 428 thousand cars, of which 71% falls on Russian stamps. Top 5 brands make up the GROOVE (41% of the Park), KAVZ (13%), Lyases (9%), LAZ (3%) and NefAZ (3%).

According to the "AUTOSTAT" info at beginning 2017 years of Top-5 looked almost as: PAZ – 39,2% (to 167.6 thousand), KAVZ – 12,4% (53 thousand), LiAZ – 6,8% (29 thousand) and NefAZ – 4,8% (20.5 thousand).

More than one percent the Park had: Hyundai – 2,2% (9.3 thousand), MAZ – 2% (8.5 thousand), Mercedes-Benz is 1.8% (7.6 thousand) and crane "Ural" – 1,3% (5.5 thousand).

Buses age 1-2 years account for 5% of the fleet (sales of new buses in according to "AUTOSTAT info" made in 2017 12,1 thousand – an increase of 12.3%, and in 2016- 10.8 +21,4%), aged 3-5 years – 7,5%.

Buses to the ages 6-10 and age 11-15 years have a nearly equal share of 17.5% and 18%, respectively.

Buses aged 16-20 years and 21-25 years accounted for 10% of the Park, and bus equipment older than 25 years (almost a Museum status) is 32% of the Park.

And although buses Russian registration  disasters such as occurred in Kazakhstan no happening, but all the same requirements of private and municipal carriers at extension of terms of operation of vehicles (including school buses) should have a certain time and not only technical criteria.
