Volvo Truck Corporation
The Volvo Group was formed in 1927, and the first truck of this brand saw the light a year later. Manufacturing commercial vehicles medium and heavy-duty unit of Volvo Truck Corp. In the Volvo automotive Group includes such companies as Renault Trucks, Mack and UD Trucks (formerly Nissan Diesel).
Volvo Truck Corp. for over 35 years, operates in our country: the first Volvo trucks were purchased in 1973 for the transport company "Sovtransavto". In 1994, Russia opened an office of the company, and from 1998 year the interests of Volvo Truck Corp. in Russia is ZAO "Volvo Vostok". In 2003-2008, in the Moscow suburb of Zelenograd acted ZAO "VTS-Zelenograd", where by SKD models Volvo FM and Volvo FH. With 2009 years CKD has been moved to the new Assembly plant of Volvo Group, located in the Kaluga and designed for the issue of 15 thousand trucks Volvo and Renault each year. In addition to the main Assembly plant in late 2014 year here was running two shops at cabin Assembly and warehouse premises with total area of 25 000 m2, the Company is able at two-shift production cycle to produce days until 30 trucks of the brands Volvo and Renault, but because of the crisis in 2014-2016 production was only in one shift. Production of Volvo trucks at the plant in Kaluga was made in 2016 1274 units (an increase in 3.25 times).
The bottom of the crisis on the Russian market for trucks was passed in 2015 and sales of Volvo trucks in 2016 year was 1672 units (increase by 62%).
In the first half of the 2010s Volvo Group is completely updated model range of Volvo trucks. The new lineup received a new and restyled cabins (for example, medium models FL and FE), retained the old names (FL, FE, FM FH, FH16) and for the European market is equipped with the new generation of engines to meet Euro-6. For foreign markets with more liberal environmental regulations (e.g., Russia) new generation of Volvo trucks supply with engines Euro-5.
The main novelty will be upgraded Volvo model FE 350 load capacity and engine power. It will be equipped with 8-liter diesel engine capacity of 350 HP. combined with automated manual I-Shift or automatic transmission, and load the front axle is increased to 9000 kg. In September 2017 series Volvo FE will have a more powerful and lifting version of the FE 350, 9-ton front axle and 350-horsepower engine full mass of which can reach 44 tonnes
Volvo FL (4х2)
A new generation of delivery trucks Volvo FL for local and short regional transportation was launched in may 2013. Updated FL received a restyled cabin design in a new shaped Volvo, upgraded interior and new engines to meet Euro-6. Version with lifting capacity of 12 tons is equipped with a new 4-cylinder D5K engine capacity of 210 or 240 HP, more lifting modifications set 6-cylinder D8K engine, developing 250 or 280 HP gear Box to choose from: robot-I-Sync-manual or automatic. Version for the full weight of 12 to 18 t, the length of the wheelbase for the chassis – in the range from 3250 to 6800 mm (13 modifications). Model Brake system, except ABS will be also equipped with ESP.
Volvo FE (4х2, 6х2, 6х4)
Distribution and medium-range Volvo FE with a new generation of engines Euro 6 was presented simultaneously with the "younger" models FL in may 2013. The current generation received the cab from FL to styling in the corporate style Volvo. In the model range includes the new FE 4x2 truck tractor (total mass up to 44 t), a truck or chassis 4x2 (full weight up to 18 t) truck chassis or 6x2 or 6x4 (total weight up to 26 tons). The D8K engine (Euro 6) develops 250, 280 or 320 HP, transmission – 6 - or 9-speed manual, 12-speed "robot" I-Shift or 6-speed automatic transmission, cab – "day" is short and sleeping cabin internal length 2.0 or 2.2 m. In the brake system provides ESP. The flagship of the FE series since the autumn of 2017 will be the version of the 350 with power front 9-ton axle and an engine capacity of 350 HP.
Volvo FM (4х2, 6х2, 6х4, 8х4)
The new generation of trucks of the family FM was introduced in March 2013. The novelty has received upgraded engines of Euro-6 and a restyled cabin in the new corporate style Volvo, given the flagship FH, a new instrument panel similar to FH, multifunction steering wheel from FH, upgraded front and rear suspension, electronic active safety systems. The Russian premiere of new generation took place at the auto show "Komtrans-2014". Engines – D11K (Euro-6, output of 330, 370, 410 or 450 HP) or D13K (Euro 6, the capacity of 420, 460 or 500 HP) transmission – 12-step "robot" I-Shift or 16-speed manual gearbox. The options of cabin width 2500 mm: "day", standard or low sleeping sleeping cabin high sleeping cab, Globetrotter internal height of 1.96 m or 2.1 m (Globetrotter LXL). For the Russian market a new generation of FM offers mainly the following batch versions, a local build with engines of Euro 5:
FM Antares (tractor unit 4x2 for medium-haul transportation, cab Globetrotter, total train weight of up to 44 000 kg, pneumatic rear suspension, height SSA-1250 mm, motor power D13C 420 HP, KP automated I-Shift, ESP);
FM Hercules (6x4 truck tractor for transporting heavy loads, low sleeping cabin, total train weight 70 000 kg, leaf rear suspension, height SSU 1360 mm, D13C engine capacity of 420 HP manual 14 speed manual gearbox, VEB);
Phoenix FM (6x4 tractor unit, Globetrotter cab, full combination weight 70 000 kg, pneumatic rear suspension, height SSA-1250 mm, motor power D13C 420 HP manual 14 speed manual gearbox, ESP).
For all "batch" of models includes air conditioning, cruise control, VEB engine brake, the Parking heater, sound system, electronic tachograph, driver's seat with air suspension and other equipment.
Volvo FH/ FH16 (4х2, 6х2, 6х4, 8х4)
A new generation of long haul trucks FH debuted in the fall of 2012 in Hanover. Features of the new generation is offered in versions of the flagship FH and FH16: completely new, more spacious and comfortable cabin (three versions, including the high-roof Globetrotter XL internal height of 222 mm!) with original stylish design that set the direction for all of the updated Volvo range, the new range of engines Euro 6 (offer and version Euro 5), fully new interior new comfortable seats, ergonomic dashboard and climate control, independent(!) front suspension for comfort and excellent handling, and much more. Engine range: D13C (Euro 5, capacity of 420, 460, 500 or 540 HP) D13K (Euro 6, power-460 HP) or D16C (Euro-5, capacity of 540, 600, 700 or 750 HP) FH16. Gearbox is 16-speed manual gearbox or a 12-step "robot" I-Shift. For the Russian market a new generation of FH are offered mainly in the following batch versions, a local build:

World premiere of new generation of construction truck FMX took place in the spring of 2013 at the construction fair BAUMA’2013, while in Russia at CTT 2013 in early June. Features of the new FMX – restyled cabin with new comfortable interior, powerful combo electrohydraulical steering Volvo Dynamic Steering, a new suspension system, rugged frame and all the trimmings. The engine range Euro 6 D11K (capacity of 330, 370, 410 or 450 HP) D13K (capacity 420, 460, 500 or 540 HP). CP choice – mechanical, "robot" I-Shift or branded automatic Powertronic. For the Russian market offer mainly the next "batch" version of the new FMX local build:
