Founded in 1928 in Eindhoven, the Dutch company DAF Tucks N. V. is included in the "seven" of the leading European manufacturers of commercial vehicles medium and heavy classes. In 1996 with the aim of reducing production costs and expanding the geography of exports, the automaker joined the international Corporation PACCAR, which includes American Kenworth and Peterbilt, and Foden and British Leyland. Now Tucks DAF N. V. has opened in Moscow an official representation. The range of trucks the DAF includes three extensive families – LF, CF and XF.

By the mid-2010s DAF Tucks has completed the upgrade of the model range, presenting an updated model range of Euro 6 for all models, from light LF series up to heavy haul XF. In addition to new or deeply modernized engines, new model Euro 6 index feature redesigned suspension, a new optimized design of the axis, a new, more aerodynamic cockpit design (completely new front end, including lighting, U-shaped grille, bumpers, and some other additional aerodynamic elements), an improved interior (new steering wheel, more comfortable seats, new instrument panel, large color display with DAF Driver Performance Assistant). In February 2015, was submitted to the compact delivery truck LF series Euro 5, received the new cab and upgraded chassis, unified with the LF Euro 6. In the summer of 2017 DAF is launching the next upgraded generation of the Euro 6 CF and XF Euro 6 with more aerodynamic cabins (including, for example, streamlined sun visor), more powerful and more torquey at low revs and, consequently, economical engines, more efficient high-speed drive axles with a ratio of 2.05:1 and a light weight (100 kg) chassis within the corporate strategy of the DAF Transport Efficiency. In addition, more powerful steel and engine brake developing up to 340 kW at the modernized Paccar MX11 engine and 360 kW for the flagship Paccar MX13.

Sales of new DAF trucks weighing over 8 tons in Russia by the end of 2015 amounted to 597 units, by 67.9% less than in 2014. In 2016, sales of DAF was 938 units (up 57.1%). Starting in 2011 with two of the DAF dealer brought the number of dealers and service partners at the beginning of 2017 to four dozen in the area from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok, and the list is constantly updated with new partners in the regions, and in the future their number should reach 55-60.

DAF LF/ LF Euro 6 (4x2, 6x2)

Distribution family of the DAF LF is designed primarily for the delivery of goods in urban areas and for short regional flights. The LF family is offered in different versions with GVW from 7.5 t to 21 t, while from February 2015, all LF models produce with the cabin of the new sample and the updated interior in the performance of the chassis (total weight depending on size 8-12; 14-16 or 19 tons) or tractor (total weight 13 t). Chassis design of the upgraded line LF has been completely redesigned for maximum stiffness, great ride quality, additional space for mounting components and reducing weight. The "average" family of trucks DAF CF at the moment is produced in the CF options Euro 3-5 with a classic cabin the previous sample or DAF CF Euro 6 with streamline cabin of the new model, enhanced interior, additional electronic systems, and new engines of standard Euro-6. DAF XF105/ XF Euro 6 (4x2, 6x2)

The flagship of the model range – DAF XF trunk as well as a series of CF in the summer of 2017 will go into the series with the upgraded Euro 6 engines, new automatic gearbox TraXon light weight 100 kg chassis and small upgrade of the cab, which improved efficiency by 7%. The XF series are offered by the options of the truck tractor and chassis in biaxial and triaxial versions, in Europe this model is also presented as a four-axle chassis. Now in Russia the emphasis is on the models of DAF XF105 with a classic cab (Euro 5). It is interesting to note that of the truck tractor with the wheel formula 6x2 leading can be like the second bridge (option FTR) and third (modification FTG). In the basic version, front suspension spring, rear – air, but on customer request, air springs can be mounted on the front axle.
