Russia has simplified the installation of LPG

Today translation car gas is associated with many difficulties. Officially to install gas equipment (LPG), is required to obtain a set of certificates, opinions, resolutions and certificates, and in different instances. And this is only part of the paper work! The traffic police has decided to facilitate life to motorists and allowed to apply by e-mail, but to show the vehicle unit is now not necessary at all. This is with reference to internal sources in the traffic police according to "KommersantKommersant".

However, even with these simplifications, the whole procedure remains quite complicated and tedious. Car owners are required to contact the test laboratory and undergo the preliminary examination, then install LPG in the organization concerned, then documents on the work to be inspected and to come to the laboratory for final examination. In the final it is necessary to call the traffic police to take the certificate of conformity of the vehicle with changes in safety requirements and to register a new vehicle. All of these procedures cost about $ 10,000, not including installation and equipment.

Previously to this difficult chain of actions I had to add another primary examination in the traffic police and the submission of the application. However, while the new order exists only on paper: there remains to wait for a special government decree, which approves the proposed amendment.

According to statistics of the traffic police, for the period from 2013 to 2016 in Russia, there were more than 320 000 facts of any change in the design. About 70% of them are associated with the transition to gas. The Ministry of energy has estimated that a total of more than 1.6 million vehicles use LPG.
