After 60 years since the first participation Lister Knobbly in the race, this famous car is one of the most successful in Motorsport history and a favourite of Stirling moss – will finally be able to legally travel on public roads.

Lister Motor Company is unique in its kind – the only company that produces cars of this type with a tolerance on public roads. Other, larger companies are limited in the use of such vehicles on the road due to much greater production volume.

In contrast to the "replicas" or vintage cars, Lister Knobbly is not a modern stuffing, hidden under the body, vaguely reminding us of times past. All body panels by hand (!) made of aluminum, and the 6-cylinder Jaguar engine in volume of 3,8 l differs little from the power unit D-Type, which was installed in 50 years.

The engines are built using new and reconditioned parts original Jaguar units. Going engine specialists Crosthwaite&Gardiner. Despite the technology "old school", the motor still produces 330 horsepower and is able to disperse light Lister Knobbly (787 kg) almost up to 270 km/h acceleration is 4.3 seconds to 96 km/h.

Spatial tubular frame constructed of seamless pipes, using original fasteners; welded joints are tested under pressure to ensure structural strength. For manufacturing aluminum body panels takes about 500 hours – everything is done to achieve the perfect shape Knobbly.

Commenting on the latest achievement of the firm, Lawrence Whittaker, CEO of Lister Motor Company, said: "I am very proud and excited that Lister Motor Company has managed to become the first and currently the only specialized manufacturer of the cars, which managed to achieve a tolerance of only racing car on public roads". In addition to the 3.8-liter engine, it will be possible to order 6-cylinder engine volume of 4.2 liters.

The manufacturer had to make some changes to the design to meet the stringent standards of road cars: set of deformable steering column, arc security, direction indicators and rear fog lamps, frames for license plates, push buttons instead of toggle switches, the handbrake ratchet, rear view mirrors, changed the fuel tank cap, as well as warning indicators low brake fluid level, and fuel tank.

Only 10 will be built "road" models of the Lister Knobbly. Production should begin in September 2017 and first delivery is scheduled for June 2018.
