Insurance company each month a reminder that the CTP market for them is unprofitable. Meanwhile, a new set of statistics revealed some interesting facts: in the first five months of 2018 the average payout from insurance fell by 16% to 64.4 thousand rubles.

Also, the Russian Union of motor insurers (RAMI) published and other data. Over the past period 2018 charges for insurance decreased by 1 %, to 89.6 billion. At the same time, payments on the accident, and all have fallen by 32 %! At this point, insurers have spent 57 billion.

Now insurance companies will be more difficult to require the state (in particular, the CBR) to increase rates for insurance. At the same time, published data should be compared with other parameters. So, if at all in 2017, the insurers drew 228,1 billion as charges for insurance, and paid 181 billion, it turns out that the proportion of direct costs was approximately 79 %. At the same time for the first five months of 2018, this figure fell markedly to 63 %. In other words, other things being equal, the profitability of CTP has increased significantly.

As explained by the President of RSA Igor Yurgens, to reduce the payment failed due to fraud and implementation of the priority of natural compensation.

Against this background of impending tougher market insurance is a much needed step. We will remind that since August 31 the basic rates will be expanded in both directions at 20 %, and in September of automatic camera will be fined drivers who do not take out insurance.

Executive Director of RSA Evgenie Ufimtsev considers that this background can be expected to reduce the cost of insurance for accident-free car owners living in the so-called "toxic" regions (the so-called regions, where a high percentage of fraudulent payments).
