It is obvious that the discipline and competence of Russian drivers often leave much to be desired better. Often motorists have even been proposals for tougher driving exams. Now this finally talked "on top". About intended reforms to the Agency, "TASS" told in the press center of the interior Ministry.

The interior Ministry of Russia proposes to combine the exam for a driver's license on the court and on the streets. a "the Draft resolution is amended to exclude the conduct in examination divisions of traffic police to verify the initial skills of driving in closed areas with the simultaneous inclusion of verification of these skills in a practical exam in the traffic conditions", — told in the Ministry.

Head of traffic police of Russia Mikhail Chernikov noted that this combined exam will be stricter. Inspectors will pay more attention to the practical driving test. The deadline for the implementation of reforms yet to be announced: as the chief of police, the process of adopting a new test can take several months.

Earlier, the traffic police proposed to introduce mandatory fixation of examination for audio and video.

In the spring of this year, Mr Chernikov said that the inspection puts the driving task to release "potential drivers", ready to be included in the traffic flow. To achieve this, we developed a new curriculum. Supposedly they have already brought the first fruits: according to the head of traffic police, accidents involving novice drivers fell by 15 %.

At the same time, Mikhail Chernikov appreciated the low quality of training in driving schools: according to him, the first time the test may take no more than 8 % of the students.
