In an unusual situation hit a cyclist from St. Petersburg. For leaving the scene of an accident she is going to deprive a driver's license. The accident occurred not even on the road. The details of this extraordinary case Svetlana Knyazeva said in an interview to "Kommersant FM".

The cyclist admitted that for several years rides a bike on the sidewalk so she gets to work. Going ahead, the woman suddenly took a few steps to the side. Svetlana did not have time to brake and has made arrival on the pedestrian.

The cyclist enquired about the pedestrian and offered to call a taxi to the emergency room. However, the woman refused to help. She called, said about the incident and started back toward the subway. Svetlana Knyazeva also expressed a desire to compensate for damaged items on arrival at work.

However, after some time the victim called Svetlana from the emergency room where she was diagnosed with a broken arm and was put in plaster. The pedestrian demanded to compensate one month salary — 25 000 rubles.

Further events began to develop more rapidly. The next day, the cyclist called the police and invited to write an explanation. The inspector said that she has to pay 3 700 rubles for driving on the sidewalk, 2 500 rubles for violation of traffic rules with minor and moderate damage. Moreover, she was allegedly deprived of the driving license! Reason — leaving the scene of an accident.

Unable to deprive the cyclists driving licence?

Currently, cyclists are not required to have rights. Although the state Duma periodically there are proposals check owners of two-wheeled machinery on the knowledge of traffic rules until it come to that.

But in this case Svetlana Kniazeva supposedly going to deny driver's licenses. According to the Russian legislation the situation is absurd: such a practice exists in some European countries, but in our country a driver's license has nothing to do with the bike.

In addition, to comply with paragraph 2.5 Rules of the road (it is a question of action in the event of an accident) have only the driver. So in this case, the cyclists can only use the article 12.30 of the administrative code "Violation of traffic Rules by pedestrian or other participant of traffic, which caused interference with the vehicle traffic or causing minor or medium-gravity harm to health of the victim". The penalty 1000-1500 rubles.

Svetlana Knyazeva received a summons on may 28, so that the outcome of this unusual tale is yet to come.
