As is often the case, previously approved laws take effect with the start of the new season. Today we will analyze the changes in traffic rules, which take effect from 1 June. In global terms, nothing has changed, but some changes can affect the lives of motorists.

Limit payments on the Euro Protocol increased twice

In mid-may, the Central Bank adopted amendments to the law on CTP, which increase limit on payments evroprotokol doubled to 100 000.

Experts expect that this measure will increase the popularity of europrotocol, which will relieve the streets from minor accidents. Today, only 30 % of road accident participants use self-service. A total of 2017 according to the europrotocol has been paid to 7.68 billion rubles.

Even better is the situation for the residents of capital regions. In Moscow, St.-Petersburg, the Moscow and Leningrad oblasts in the provision of data of GLONASS or other global navigation satellite systems, the amount of payments for the Euro Protocol can reach 400 000, that is, to reach up to the upper limit for insurance.

New color markup

Early yellow markings stood out only the areas where it was forbidden to stop. In particular, it was noted color, the area of the sign "Stop Smoking", and more recently, yellow dye is used to "waffle" at intersections. Since June 1, yellow marking can be applied in other situations.

In particular, all major types of road markings that divide the streams and lanes (single and double solid, dotted, combination of intermittent and continuous) can be both white and yellow. Yellow marking is printed on the route Murmansk and the border to Norway.

Moreover, the new GOST R 51256-2018 "Technical means of traffic organization. Markings road. Classification. Technical requirements", which shall enter into force on 1 June, also puts into operation and blue markings. It can be made dashed lines used to indicate the direction of traffic at intersections. Also, this color can be used to refer to paid and free Parking.

The authors of the project suggest that the colored markings will be more visible in poor visibility, especially during a snowfall. For this reason, the test operation was started in the Northern areas of the country.

the ban on the entry of buses

From 1 June introduced another change, but temporary: in cities hosting the world football championship FIFA 2018, will be banned entry of buses. The exceptions relate to vehicles operated on scheduled passenger services or are equipped with system "ERA-GLONASS".
