The insurance company offered to reduce the maturity of the motorist in the case of occurrence of insured event for insurance of up to five days. The initiative has already been sent to the Ministry of Finance. "Vedomosti" managed to see a copy of the document.

The Russian Union of motor insurers (RAMI) has prepared amendments to the law that will establish a five-day limit. According to insurers, this measure is not directed against ordinary drivers: the key objective will be to fight against "avtopodstavy".

According to the current law on insurance maturity period is virtually unlimited. Only in the case of registration of the European accident report of traffic accident participants is obliged to report to the insurance company for the same five days.

The authors of the project suggest that the time limit will limit opportunities for fraud. They often seek compensation in a year and a half. In this case, the insurance company can not reliably understand the case, and to delay payment, they can not because of fear of the penalties provided by law.

It is curious that the representative "Rosgosstrakh" even noted that the initiative has to come to mind, and ordinary motorists: they will be able more quickly to fix the damage, so that there will be able to avoid additional damage to the vehicle (meaning the corrosion of body parts and damage to other nodes during operation). However, it is unclear what prevents in this case, quickly contact the insurance company and at current standards.

But the President of the Association for the protection of policyholders Nicholas Tyurnikov collapsed to the initiative with criticism. He was confident that stories about the fight against fraud are nothing more than a cover main initiatives — reducing the losses due to insurance refusal to pay for those who did not meet the five-day period (and such are a priori).

While the treatment of PCA has not received comments from the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank: they are responsible for setting requirements on the CTP market.
