It is noteworthy that the revenues from this area are quite modest: in five years, traffic police has collected fines amounting to just over 87 000 000. At the moment, talking on the phone while driving a car is punishable by a sum of 1 500 rubles, while taking into account the payment within 20 days from the date of the judgment, subject to the 50% rate, you can meet in 750 roubles.

The traffic police did not announce the reasons for the collection of the fine. It is not excluded that its role have new technologies: today, many new cars are equipped with multimedia systems that support pairing with the phone via Bluetooth or wired connection: in this case, you can answer calls on speakerphone, which is permitted by the rules of the road. Another thing is that even with such systems, not all drivers use it, preferring the old-fashioned way to press the mobile device to the head.
