The service will go every fifth employee
In 2018 it is expected another wave of layoffs of employees of traffic police. The work will lose 10 000 people, or about one in five.
On the last day of 2017, the President of the Russian Federation signed a decree No. 652, according to which the limiting number of employees of internal Affairs bodies is reduced 10 thousand people.
"to Set 1 January 2018 the maximum number of staff of internal Affairs bodies of the Russian Federation (without the personnel on protection and service of buildings) funded from budgetary appropriations of the Federal budget in the amount of 871 894 units, including employees of internal Affairs bodies of the Russian Federation in the amount of 746 859 employees, Federal state civil servants - 17 199, workers - 130 of 813 people".
At the same time in 2016, it was revealed the strength of 904 871 people. The total weight of these 10 thousand is a little more than 1 %, so with an equal distribution they are practically invisible. But the fact is that the reduction will only the traffic police, as outlined in the MIA order No. 983, also signed on 31 Dec.
At the current time the state traffic police in Russia is about 55 thousand people, and for the mass of 10 thousand is already a significant part. Is 18% or almost every fifth employee. Moreover, reductions will be uneven, their posts will keep employees engaged in registration activities, take exams and issue driving license.
It turns out that a new wave of layoffs will affect mainly those who work directly on the road, that is, security controls, go to the accident and catches violators.
On the one hand, the optimization state can justify a wider spread of cameras and other technical means of automatic fixing of violations: recently, the traffic police rarely take up the radar. At the same time, someone still needed to go after criminals and simply identify the violations on the spot. In the end, computers have not yet learned to identify drunk drivers.
According to the statistics announced by Deputy interior Minister Alexander by Gorowyn in November last year, in the period from 2012 to 2017, the total number of vehicles in Russia increased by 23 % and reached 56.6 million iner. At the same time, the staff of GAI were reduced by 22 %. It turns out that for five years the specific load on the employee ceteris paribus increased by half.
