Beginning December 1, Sberbank plans to start issuing biometric driver's licenses. Embedded in them microchips will store biometric data of the holder, photograph and electronic signature.

The initiative was developed under a pilot project of Sberbank with the Ministry for digital development, communications and mass communications, said the head of the block "Corporate business" of the savings Bank Anatoly Popov in an interview TASS. He said that technology is a rights issue with a chip approved by the interior Ministry. Elaboration of technical part of the question deals with fgbu scientific research Institute "Voskhod", which is a subsidiary of Minsitry.

It is noteworthy that the innovative sample driver's license will contain the electronic signature of the owner. It has no direct relationship to control the vehicle, but it can significantly simplify a variety of legally significant actions: the receipt of state services, business registration and so on. These procedures can be carried out remotely.

This "savings" will not stop: he is already developing a draft identity card of the citizen, which in the future will be similar to the passport. "I Hope, after some time paper ID will be gone, and will remain this form," — said Anatoly Popov.
