Considerable changes in the rules or formality?

Important changes to the Russian motorists: Vladimir Putin signed decree, which prohibits employees of traffic police to remove the vehicles license plates unless the driver made a gross violation of the Rules of the road.

Previously, the inspectors had removed the license plate if the driver had no insurance policy or operation of the vehicle was prohibited. Among other things this measure often used in the illegal tinted Windows. Also the DPS can pick up rooms for excess noise or emissions, damage to the brake or steering systems, the use of lights the wrong color, or sound and light devices special purpose, office color schemes.

Now, in the case of serious violations, traffic police will be able to prohibit the operation and send the vehicle to the impound lot.

But much will change in fact? In fact, similar amendments to the Code of administrative offences introduced in 2014. After part 2 of article 27.13 of the administrative code "prohibited use of vehicle" no longer in force, the Agency can no longer remove numbers from the vehicle.

Four years ago this decision was motivated by the fact that the interior Ministry was allowed to make copies of rooms in private firms without coordination with the traffic police. In other words, a motorist could easily produce a duplicate of their rooms so that their withdrawal lost all meaning.

So, in fact nothing has changed.
