Drunken perpetrators of the death of people in road accident to be planted for 5-15 years

Today on the official portal of legal information published signed by the Russian President Vladimir Putin a law to toughen criminal responsibility for the deaths in an accident caused by a drunken driver.
In the article "Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles" (264 of the criminal code) will be amended accordingly.
So, now when causing of heavy harm to health of the victim, the perpetrator will face from 3 to 7 years (previously this term was 4 years).
At the death in a "drunken" accident man, the driver will be jailed for a period from 5 to 12 years (previously 2 to 7 years). When the death in an accident two or more persons, a prison sentence for the driver will increase to 8-15 years (previously 4 to 9 years).
Stricter punishment, not only for car drivers but also for managers of public, railway, air, Maritime and inland waterway transport.
We note that earlier in June, the interior Ministry of Russia proposed to expand the list of indications for the presence of alcohol, narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances in the body of the driver detected by special instruments.
