Need to move to extend the policy at the old price
In addition to the increase in fuel prices one of the most pressing issues for motorists is due to an expected increase in the cost of insurance policies. Earlier it was announced that insurance may rise in price by 20 % in the summer. Now became known the exact date — August 31. This day is specified in the draft about the base rates of tariffs OSAGO.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Central Bank Vladimir chistyukhin said that during the summer the tariff corridor CTP can be extended to 20 %. In an interview with "statements" he said that this measure will allow insurance companies to attract an extra 15 billion rubles of premiums.
It is noteworthy that the same amount of the estimated total losses of insurance companies from insurance for 2017. If you believe the reports of the insurers, the payments for last year increased to 103 % of funds raised. In 2018, the Central Bank hopes to reduce it to 100 %.
Proposed reforms not just increase the cost of insurance by 20 %. On this part it is proposed to extend the basic rate, and not only upwards but also downwards. Thus, if today it is set at 3432-4118 rubles and 31 August may be 2746-4942 rubles.
The insurance company will be able to install the current rate in each specific region. According to reports of the Russian Union of motor insurers (RAMI), currently about one third of the regions cause damage. It is in these companies to increase the rate to a maximum of 4 942 rubles.
At the same time, in some cities and areas where there is a surplus of market OSAGO, insurance may even be cheaper. However, it is unlikely many companies will do it at the expense of those regions fail to cover the loss in the so-called "toxic" regions. Most likely, insurers will not be solved voluntarily give up additional margins.
Another traditional drawback of the existing tariff CTP is insufficiently flexible system of coefficients. For example, if it is provided by only five of the factors, responsible for age and driving experience, soon they may be 50. But at the same time, while the Central Bank is not going to significantly expand price limits, so that the total ratio in the foreseeable future will not change more than 5 % (both upward and downward).
Earlier, the Chairman of the Central Bank Vladimir chistyukhin has led more close to reality example. According to him, if now the average driver pays 5.8 thousand rubles for the policy, after the reform, this amount will increase up to 7 thousand rubles.
If we consider the minimum possible value, it will decrease from 1.7 thousand rubles to 1.5 thousand. Of course, this is only an extreme option that will rarely arise in practice.
