We all know that cars of certain makes and models are stolen more often than others. Which brands attract car thieves today? The Agency "RIA Novosti" interviewed insurance company and found out the answer to this question.

Representatives of the Ministry of internal Affairs reported that the Arsenal of the hijackers in recent years has not undergone significant changes. Despite the fact that cars are still frequently stolen, the overall number of crimes in this sphere has decreased a bit. For 2017 the year there were 21.8 thousand thefts of cars, and it's about four thousand less than in 2016.
Representatives of "Rosgosstrakh" said that popular models like the Hyundai Solaris, Kia Rio, Kia Sportage and Toyota Camry stolen mainly due to the high demand. These machines often "kill" rooms and sell fake documents.
The head of the Department of insurance of vehicles of group "the Renaissance Insurance" Sergey Demidov has explained that the demand creates supply: the model selection is often based on its demand on the secondary market. Another aspect is the demand for spare parts for cars. In turn, the most expensive cars are usually distilled in other regions, where it is then trying to sell fake documents.
In the insurance company "VSK" added that the luxury SUVs that are stolen, often leave the country. They are usually trafficked to Kazakhstan and then sent to the countries of Central Asia. They often come true in Kyrgyzstan, Iran, UAE and Syria. A small part settles in Europe.
