4 April 2017 entered into force the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation
from March 24, 2017 No. 333, which is making a number of minor amendments to the Rules of the road. Most of all disputes has caused a clause which prohibits the operation of vehicles, lacking prescribed rules markings. In particular, referred to the sign "Thorns" that must be present in all vehicles with spiked tires.

In the spring, many decided not to pay attention to the new norm, since her entry coincided

Mandatory if the sign "Thorns"?

Resolution No. 333 introduced paragraph 7.15(1) in the list of malfunctions and conditions under which prohibits operation of vehicles. According to the latter, for violations related to the lack of markings that must be installed in accordance with paragraph 8 of the Basic provisions for the admission of vehicles to operation.

Thus, the sign of "Spikes" is mandatory for all vehicles
with studded tires.

What threatens the absence of a sign?

Responsibility for violation of discussion rules described in article 12.5 of the administrative code of the Russian Federation "driving a vehicle in the presence of malfunctions or conditions at which operation of vehicles is forbidden". As the penalties a warning or administrative fine in the amount of 500 rubles.

What should be the sign?

According to the clause 8 "Basic provisions for the admission of vehicles to operation", the sign "Spikes" should be made in the form of an equilateral white triangle apex up with a border of red color, which is inscribed in the letter "W" in black. as the maximum is not limited.

Where should it be located?
