The city authorities plan to reorganize the movement on dedicated lanes. After approval of the reform on them will be able to drive double Decker buses, municipal vehicles and some other types of transport. In General, in Moscow available 46 "allocated" total length of 287.5 km.

At the moment in all cities of Russia, there are uniform rules: for dedicated lanes can move only by public transport, including buses, trolleybuses, Shuttle and taxi cabs. However, at the end of 2017 adopted amendments to the law "On road safety" that provide the Federal cities of privileges: their authorities are allowed to set individual rules for "videleno".

Thus, in the near future in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Sevastopol may be a new list of vehicles with weight exceeding 5 tonnes used for the carriage of passengers, have over eight seats and allowed the movement of the bands for public transport. While the city offers to make exceptions for three types of vehicles:

the
    the
  • — double-deck vehicles with sliding roof and removable Windows on the second floor
  • the
  • — vehicle for carriage of passengers with disabilities on individual and collective applications
  • the
  • vehicles used by the Department of housing and communal services of the city of Moscow and its subordinate entities in housing and communal services

Experts believe that this kind of transport in Moscow a little, so it will not have a significant impact on the traffic situation. This opinion in an interview with RBC stated Chairman of the Committee on the protection of the rights of motorists Alexey patrols. However, he advised city hall to put on dedicated lanes for motorcycles and mopeds.

New Federal law will come into force in 2019. It is assumed that by the time the government of Moscow will finish the discussion of the list of vehicles that will be allowed to drive on dedicated lanes. In the future, similar actions will attend to the authorities of St. Petersburg and Sevastopol.
