The camera will be fined for lack of insurance

for several years the road authorities are going to implement a system that would fine motorists for absence of the insurance policy. Initially, it was supposed to start work in 2016. But, as so often happens, the introduction repeatedly postponed. Usually, the reason became technical inexperience: that was very difficult to link a database of traffic police and RSA (the Russian Union of insurers) to compare the number of cars with information about the policy. But now finally the system will work: it will penalize careless motorists already on 1 November. Or not?

In fact, all is not so simple. Yes, the system is supposedly going to be launched in November (supposedly because given the numerous delays it is hard to say anything for sure). However, this story has a few big "but".

first, the first time it will only work in Moscow. So the residents of the regions until you can breathe again.

third, even while she will not write a ticket. For the first time the system will run in test mode: violators will receive "letters of happiness", but they will contain just a warning.

Thus, even if the authorities will launch new system in November, in working mode it will start working more soon. So running into a penalty of 800 rubles for the lack of insurance is possible only when you meet the real inspector.

But what about the new increased fines, which should enter into force on 22 November 2018? Information about them is being discussed for several months. These are the penalties:

leaving on a counter strip — 8 thousand rubles.
The absence of policy OSAGO — 5 thousand rubles.
Journey on forbidding signal of the traffic light — 5 thousand rubles.
Speeding more than 60 km/h — 10 thousand rubles.
Driving without a license — 8 thousand rubles
