Drivers can allocate a separate caste

In the Russian automotive community is long overdue the issue of increasing discipline and skills of professional drivers. We are talking about those who are engaged in passenger and freight transportation. Now the Ministry of economic development suggested to further verify these drivers: every ten years they will need not just change a driver's license, but to pass a test of aptitude.

In this case we are talking about truckers, taxi drivers and public transport drivers. The background to the new initiative was the increase in the number of accidents involving drivers in these categories. However, some experts believe that the reasons for this trend lie not in the lack of qualification, and in the banal recycling: ostensibly because of the shortage, employers are forcing drivers to carry out driving more time than is necessary. All this leads to reduced concentration and tragic consequences.

Meanwhile, just last week we discussed zakonoproekt "about administrative liability of carriers for violation of the regime of work and rest of drivers for the carriage of passengers and cargo". It seeks to introduce administrative liability for employers whose employees are drivers spend on the road more time than required by law (among other things proposed to punish them for the lack of a tachometer).

Earlier the Ministry of transport proposed to introduce segregation of drivers on professionals and Amateurs: on the idea first will not only have to undergo periodic retraining, but also in-depth training course. Also representatives of the office spoke of the need to incorporate additional lessons that will focus on actions in emergency situations, safety in the carriage of passengers and dangerous goods and other specifics that should know and be able to professionals, but which are not useful to ordinary motorists.

While such an initiative exists only at the level of the discussions. In the case of its approval by the Ministry of education and science will need to develop a new training program. It is assumed that drivers will be professionals to obtain a driving license of special sample.
