Temporarily fulfilling duties of the Governor of Primorye Andrey Tarasenko sent a letter to the government of the Russian Federation, which proposed to extend the period of temporary order of installation of the system "ERA-GLONASS" on used cars.

With effect from 1 January 2017 amendments to the technical regulations of the Customs Union "About safety of wheel vehicles" will be obligated to establish a system of "ERA-GLONASS" in produced in the country cars and on cars that are imported from abroad. The catch is that while the legislation does not actions on the equipment of this set of vehicles from the secondary market. 

In other words, formally it is impossible to introduce in Russia the car and legally use it. There is such a frequent for our country, an effect called a legal conflict. For the operation you want to install "ERA-GLONASS", and it is not yet possible, because the law does not provide this procedure. To bypass this item was developed a temporary procedure for the installation of imported machine of the system "ERA-GLONASS". From 1 July 2018 it will expire, so put on record, for example, used car from Japan, it will not succeed.

In the appeal to the government of Andrei Tarasenko proposes to extend the validity of the interim order of installation "to the adoption of bylaws regulating the application of the requirements of technical regulations in respect of second-hand foreign cars".
