Moscow has remained one of the leaders

Moscow has long been considered one of the "mirror" cities in the world. A new report, Research company INRIX sheds light on how capital of Russia compares with other cities.

In the ranking of Global Trafc INRIX Scorecard takes into account data on 1 360 cities located on five continents. The authors of the study calculated how much time in traffic congestion spends an average resident. Based on these data identified a list of the hundred most troubled cities.

Over the last decade, Moscow authorities undertook a set of activities designed to reduce the problem of traffic jams. However, all these measures have not yet led to success: the inhabitants of Moscow lost in traffic congestion in an average of 91 hours for 2017. This is an extremely bad result worse is the situation only in Los Angeles (102 hours).

Along with the Russian capital, which got the silver "anti-rating", as a complex traffic situation was in new York, whose residents also spent 91 hours in traffic jams. Followed by Sao Paulo (86 hours), San Francisco (79 hours), the capital of Colombia is Bogota (75 hours), London (74 hours), U.S. Atlanta (70 hours), Paris (69 hours) and Miami (64 hours).

It is easy to see that the top ten most downloaded parts of the world entered the city from different countries, including rich and poor. The TOP 100 were noted Krasnodar (19th place, 57 hours), St. Petersburg (21 to 54 hours), Sochi (31, 48 hours) and Nizhny Novgorod (33, 48 hours).

If to speak about the General ranking of countries, Russia along with the USA took fifth place: the inhabitants of both countries spent in traffic on average for 41 hour in 2017 (in 2016 was 42 hours). The worst situation is in Thailand (56 hours), Indonesia (51 hours), Colombia (49 hours) and Venezuela (42 hours).
