Parking in Moscow can rise in price

In conversation with journalists of "Komsomolskaya Pravda" Sergei Sobyanin suggested the need to increase the cost of Parking in some areas of Moscow. The mayor argued the decision by congestion of the Central streets.

"Parking fees will be raised only in those places where the obviously increased demand, and in order to get to the Parking lot, we have to circle. In these places it is necessary to increase the tariff so that the download of Parking does not exceed 80%," — said Sergey Sobyanin.

Along with this, the mayor said that soon a system of paid Parking lots of Moscow will not be reformed. "the Moscow Parking space is basically formed".

From December 2016, the maximum rate on the most loaded sections is set at 200 rubles per hour, regardless of time of day. In the Moscow government consider that this measure will make car owners rarely leave their vehicles for a long time in one place. Apparently, at least in part, this initiative really works: many motorists are trying once again to stay in the center to avoid unnecessary spending.

In a recent interview with "Kommersant" Sergei Sobyanin said that one of the key reasons for the difficult transport situation in Moscow is to increase traffic through the centre of the city. According to the mayor, is now part of the stream of cars which went on MKAD or the Third transport ring began to move through the center of the capital. "If the navigation system sees that the center is freed — at the expense of paid Parking, due to the regulatory processes of movement, it shows: "Drive across the center". And that's a problem," explained Sobyanin.

This problem should be solved after the construction of bypass roads: the North-East and North-West chord, and the southern belt.
