This may indicate the beginning of the holiday season. A total of 12 first days of summer across the bridge traveled more than 186 thousand vehicles (103 thousand in the direction of the Crimea, more than 83 thousand back).

According to Rosavtodor, the Crimean bridge is designed for a throughput of 40 thousand vehicles per day. And given the fact that the main influx of tourists is yet to come, in 2018 we will witness new records.

The Crimean bridge is a section of Federal road A-290. A four-lane highway of category 1B. The maximum permitted speed is 90 km/h. Stopping on the bridge is prohibited. The total length is 19 kilometers. It is the longest bridge in Russia.

Car traffic on the new transport artery was started on may 16. The day before, on may 15, was the Grand opening of the Crimean bridge. The meeting was attended by the President of Russia: Vladimir Putin drove across the bridge behind the wheel of a KAMAZ.
