To this day all versions of the coupe and Roadster and R8 both first and current generation was all-wheel drive exclusively, and now it's finally time for the debut of the model Audi R8 RWS rear-wheel-drive. Interestingly, in the line related Italian models Lamborghini – Gallardo-Hurracan – similar lightweight options designed for enthusiasts of rear-wheel drive, was for a long time, and the racing version of the Audi R8 was rear-wheel drive. Apparently, it's still marketing, after all, "normal" Audi must be quattro.

From a technical point of view, it is a very ordinary Audi with a V10 engine with volume of 5.2 liter capacity of 540 HP and a maximum torque of 540 H∙m coupled with a double clutch "robot" S tronic, but due to the failure from the propeller shaft to the front wheels, the designers managed to play 40 to 50 kg curb weight, depending on body type and shift the settings of the chassis for more drivers ' – simply put, the Audi R8 RWS allows you to "tail revenge", in contrast to the neutral all-wheel drive option.

The dynamic characteristics of the Audi R8 RWS slightly inferior versions of the Quattro – acceleration to 100 km/h is 3.7 s or 3.8 in the coupe with the spider (AWD versions 3.5 or 3.6 C). results will be released only 999 copies of the Audi R8 RWS, and each coupe or spider on the instrument panel will be placed a plaque with a serial number.

The distinctive features of the Audi R8 RWS – matte finish grille and air intakes, colored decals on the body, as well as special interior trim in Alcantara and leather.

In Russia the exclusive Audi R8 RWS will not appear – we will sell only all-wheel-drive top version of the R8 V10 plus, and in Europe monoprivodnom R8 RWS is already available, and they will be cheaper, which makes sense – from 140 000 Euro in the case of the coupe and 153 000 euros for the spider against 166 000 and 179 000 euros, respectively, for quattro.
