The IT giant has introduced its own platform for automotive multimedia system called Yandex.Cars. Embedded in the production car platform will combine a number of popular services under a single interface. The system will be able to understand voice commands. Media you can connect a smartphone or to work without it.

Thanks to the new platform, the driver will be able to know about traffic, weather or, for example, to find out showtimes at the cinema. Yandex.Cars will allow you to just two services. In addition to useful services, the company Yandex, going to be the display of information about the car. The system will inform about the need engine oil change or service visit. Yandex.Cars will be able to receive and decipher the data about the problems in the car, in the absence of relevant indicators on the instrument panel. At the moment the company is negotiating with car manufacturers to establish cooperation in this direction.

First platform Yandex.A car appears on the Toyota Camry and RAV4 in October of this year. Yandex has signed agreements with Ford, Honda and AVTOVAZ. On some cars you can do without installing the platform, connect your phone to multimedia via a USB cable. Therefore, the system will work on Jaguar and Land Rover.
