Named as contenders to receive the prestigious award
The organizers of the award "world car of the year 2018" published the list of candidates, it included 35 cars. In addition, we expect to struggle in five categories: for which car will be the best Executive car, best sports car, which has the best design, and also in the category of best city car for the honor of being named the "greenest" car.
The contenders for the title of "world car of the year 2018": Alfa Romeo Giulia, Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the BMW X2, BMW X3, Buick Regal/Opel insignia/Vauxhall Insignia, citroën C3 Aircross, Dacia Duster, Ford Fiesta, Genesis G70, Honda Accord, Hyundai Kona, Jeep Compass, Kia Niro, Kia Picanto, Kia Stinger, Kia Stonic, Land Rover Discovery, Mazda CX-5, Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, Nissan Leaf, Nissan Micra, Peugeot 3008, the Range Rover Velar, Renault Koleos, Seat Ibiza, Karoq Skoda, SsangYong Rexton G4, Subaru XV/Crosstrek, Suzuki Swift, Toyota Camry, Volkswagen Arteon, Volkswagen Polo, Volkswagen T-Roc, XC40 Volvo and Volvo XC60.

The list of finalists, the contest organizers will call in the spring of 2018 at the international motor show in Geneva. After that, the jury of the competition in new York in April will be called model-contest winner.
Interestingly, in the category "Green" car will take part in only one electric car – Nissan Leaf the new generation. In 2017, the title of "world car of the year" received a Jaguar F-Pace, taking more and the award in the category for best design.
