Surprisingly, for "Jetta" remained the same 150-HP turbo 1.4-litre engine (some other new German companies have already joined with him for 1.5 TSI Evo). But a six-speed "automatic" was replaced by the eight-speed. And it's really a traditional automatic transmission with hydrotransportation, not "robot": the Russian fans of Volkswagen Jetta about this can only dream of. The most affordable version in the US will be equipped with six-speed "mechanics".

In America Jetta will be available in the second quarter of this year. The minimum price excluding shipping will be 18 545 dollars (1 044 000 rubles at the current exchange rate). By the way, in the US the warranty on the sedan is six years or 115,000 miles. Dreamed of these values in Russia is not even necessary.

To us German (although, judging by the main region of sales — probably American) sedan will arrive only in 2019. Meanwhile, in Russia will be sold the Jetta last generation. For the base sedan with the 110-strong atmospheric motor asking 1 029 000.
