Volkswagen I. D. VIZZION was a luxurious sedan without a steering wheel and pedals

Will soon begin mass production of electric cars Volkswagen series I. D. Release of the first cars is scheduled for 2020. First on the conveyor will rise hatch I. D., which the company called the electric "Golf", and then will be available crossover CROZZ I. D. and I. D. van BUZZ. Now the German company introduced the next stage of development — I. D. VIZZION. This is a spacious saloon with fully Autonomous control.

The length of the body novelties — 5,11 meters. Yes, this concept transcends even the representation sedan Phaeton! But it should be understood that Volkswagen I. D. VIZZION is an electric car with a more flexible layout. The manufacturer was able to increase the wheelbase to 3 100 mm (in fact, the "Phaeton" — up to 3 mm 001 in the extended version).

So that the cabin concept provides a truly Royal space. Volkswagen I. D. VIZZION received four individual seats, opening into opposite sides of the door. In the interior however, is completely lacking all governance. The Germans suggest that by 2025, the autopilot fourth or even fifth level has become a reality, so that the computer will not need the help of man, even in the most difficult situations.

Volkswagen I. D. VIZZION built on a new platform MEB, which will be the basis of all electric models of the company in the foreseeable future. The sedan is equipped with two electric motors with total capacity of 306 horsepower. Capacity lithium-ion battery is estimated at 111 kW∙h. Even the Tesla Model S can be equipped with a battery of "only" 100 kW∙h Claimed range of up to 665 km. Maximum speed — 180 km/h. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 6.3 seconds.

It is expected that I. D. VIZZION will turn into a production model by 2022.
